A global bank with a sizeable European presence servicing 38 million customers, corporate clients, and financial institutions in over 40 countries, sought a technology partner to build its first global online platform as part of an employee engagement strategy.

Advanced tech enabled capability

First, Prominate had to satisfy the client’s well-established stringent security protocols, typical for the financial services industry. The financial institution’s security criteria, which included a 3-tiered IT risk assessment, was successfully met during the scoping work.

An e-commerce internal site was developed and launched to the global team of 40,000 employees. The site offered a range of innovative and creative products that appealed to employees worldwide across 4 categories: apparel, home, well-being and office.

Our tech solution ensured employees benefitted from a seamless experience, and the webshop was accessible across the financial institution on desktop, and Apple or Android applications on handheld devices.

A digital employee engagement platform

An online e-commerce shopping experience was launched as part of the employee engagement plan. The viability of the site exceeded expectations. During the first two months, the client received more than 1,000 orders. In no time, the site became sustainable with sales generating profit which in turn was fed back into product development and new product offerings to deliver a wider and deeper employee engagement experience.
